The storage tank is a key element of the reverse osmosis system, ensuring the preservation of purified water under pressure for instant supply to the tap, without the need to wait for filtration at the time of use.
This tank is made of a durable metal casing, which guarantees long-term operation, corrosion protection and stable pressure in the system. Ideal for household water purification systems with moderate to intensive use.
Inside each tank is a rubber pear-shaped membrane (balloon), which creates a two-chamber structure - water and air parts. This allows:
- to maintain constant water pressure in the tank,
- to avoid direct contact of water with metal walls,
- to ensure quick water supply when opening the tap,
- to prevent constant cyclic start-up of the filter with each use.
Recommendations
- Before installation, check the pressure in the membrane (pear) - for household RO it should be ~6–7 psi (≈0.4–0.5 bar) without water inside.
- Check the pressure periodically, especially after a long downtime or membrane replacement.
