A reverse osmosis system is the most effective way to purify water at home. It is needed to turn ordinary tap water into clean, safe and pleasant-tasting drinking water.
It is especially important if the water has:
- scale (hardness)
- chlorine smell
- turbidity or sediment
- doubts about the quality of the water
Purification takes place in 5 stages, but the main role is played by the reverse osmosis membrane.
The basic principle:
The membrane has ultra-fine pores (thousands of times smaller than bacteria) and:
- passes only water molecules
- retains all harmful impurities
